Your news item mentioned that WikiTex might be included in mediaWiki 1.4 - was it? It would be great if you could add updates to news items that indicate events that might happen, whether deadlines have been met or not (or moved!).

WikiTeX has drop-in support under MediaWiki 1.4, but it won't actually find its way unto Wikipedia until we implement chroot-based security; chroot is planned for WikiTeX 1.1.  I'd like to have 1.1 out this summer. Danenberg 08:41, 29 May 2005 (CDT)
